The Undeletable BlogGot absolutely nothing worthwhile to say? Have to say it anyway? Post all your meaningless 'crap' in this blog. Comments won't be deleted (unless they are unnecessarily abusive)
The All-Important Intro**NOT HAPPY WITH YOUR DESCRIPTION?**
There is now a blog where you can let us know, we appreciate you haven't yet had a chance to contribute. Click here ...BOB is like 'Updated Spaces' except that there's a 70% chance you'll come across a space you'll like, compared to a 0.02% chance if you actually use 'Updated Spaces' ...
Welcome to Blogs of Brilliance (BOB) HQ... the greatest space directory in the history of MSN spaces.
Unlike other directories, this space directory is different in that we don’t pathetically campaign to have each and every space on the entire Internet linked to from this site. Popularity is not our goal. Want proof? We don't exactly tell you who we are...
Our aim is to have this space as a place for you to go to when you are bored, rather then try to find intelligent life through the ‘updated spaces’
Let's be honest here… we have all gone space surfing before. And, at some stage, after the fifteenth link is followed and exited, we have all looked up in despair and wondered “why?” HOW can there be so MANY pathetic, stupid, ignorant people out there? How?
BOB is not committed to destroying each and every boring space… although it is our ultimate goal. However, we ARE committed to bringing you a list of spaces which you can safely visit without tearing your hair out in frustration of 'da wordz pplz use 2 try 'n be kewliz.'
Not every single space here will take to your fancy, and not every space takes to ours. However, that is not the aim of this space. Our aim is merely to supply you with a list of links to people with an IQ greater then 90, so that you will either get a good laugh, or a good brain workout, depending on the nature of the space.
Below is a bunch of guidlines we generally consider when examining a space: - Regularity of updates - Legibility of font - Decent English. - The 'personality' of your space - The amount of 'copy and pasted' stuff in your blogs.
Having the following may work against you - Tweak UI. - Media player playing ‘music you like.’ - A space that merely has tutorials and you ‘offering to help people.’ - Using ascii code in large doses
HOW TO NOMINATE OR APPLY: Simply leave a comment below in this blog (or email us at bobhq_manager@hotmail.com) and leave a description. If you are stupid enough not to leave us a link, well...
**Note that if you are already linked to, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DO ANYTHING ELSE!!!**
You are welcome to give us a description
Briefly tell us how you would describe your (or the space you are nominating) space
We are looking for reasons NOT to add people. And trust us, there are many.
Each space will be visited eventually, and we will leave a comment letting you know if you have been successful. We do get around to everyone eventually, so if you don't get a response within a few weeks, take the hint eh?
Note that our decision is FINAL. You cannot choose the description given, although as mentioned you have a chance to contribute to it.
Help us in our mission... before it is too late...
POST A COMMENT ON THIS BLOG TO APPLY... *note that old comments may eventually be deleted for practical purposes

Do you agree with our self-analysis that this is possibly the best idea for a space ever?
Feel free to comment. Or suck up as it may be. Not that it will get you anywhere, but it still makes us feel really cool.
Alternatively, you may think we are just try-hard losers. That's cool, you inconsiderate piece of dog shit. But feel free to let us know anyway. We can handle it.
Constructive criticism is always appreciated. If you have a suggestion to make BOB even better, we are always open to suggestions. After all, this is your space. We merely hold the keys.
ChangesHave you changed the name of your space recently? Or perhaps the format of it and want a fresh description?
Or have you gone so far as to completely shut down your old space and start afresh?
You shit us. We do have lives you know.
However, MAY be willing to alter your details if you can give us a good enough reason. Try poetry. Shows you are educated. .This blog is currently empty. Go away. Not to pleased...?G'day and welcome to BOB
Recently we have undergone a massive renovation which included the addition of many new links and descriptions. As a result we have not had a chance to extensively examine each and every space. Our descriptions of them may therefore be slightly misjudged.
If your space has recently been added (or it's description altered) and you are unhappy with your description, please let us know. Leave a comment here or email us at bobhq_manager@hotmail.com with what you would prefer and we will take it into consideration.
Note that you may not necessarily get a direct response, but generally we will strive to have a comment which best describes the respective space, and theoretically, nobody knows their space like their owner! Check back within a few days to see if we have updated. If you are still not satisfied, we recommend you email us with your discontent,
Finally, if you simply DON'T want to be part of BOB, just drop us a line saying so. We would obviously like to know why, but this is not compulsory: BOB will NOT link anybody against their will.
Again, congratulations and we hope you stick with us
Cheers
BOB's Mission StatementBlogs Of Brilliance (BOB) is committed to bringing you the best spaces we can find on the MSN Spacing network. In order to have some stability, however, the following points are adhered to:
- Only MSN spaces will be linked to.
This is for two reasons, to ensure we aren't overrun with spaces, and to ensure everybody who visits this space is (theoretically) able to interact and comment on other listed spaces - Only spaces in English are added
Given management at BOB only speaks English, we will only add spaces written in English. Apologies to those who write in other languages.
Management at BOB does not wish to be portrayed as a dictator. BOB is your space as much as ours. We simply see ourselves as taking back the spacing network away from 13 year old children, goths, punks and those who create a space only to update twice a year. We are a replacement for updated spaces. BOB merely holds the keys to the good spaces.
Given the large size of BOB, we rely on the help and support of members and random surfers to keep BOB functioning properly. We referred to this previously as the "two way scenario.” We ask interested members to help us with the following: Bring in new spaces We haven't time to go surfing every weekend to find new spaces. We need your help. If you find a good space, regardless as to whether or not you know them, PLEASE nominate them. BOB is trying to find as many superb spaces as possible. Help in removing old spaces with have dropped in quality We also need the community to help us with the removal of spaces which drop in quality. Generally, if a space has been added to BOB we will not remove it, unless it falls under the following headings: "attention seeking" Bloggers who start to continuously write saying "I am thinking of quitting blogging" or "post comments or I will not write a new blog" are nothing short of pathetic. We at BOB understand that everybody gets bored or becomes unmotivated at times, and may write a blog saying so. However, constant, moody blogging begging for attention is a massive drag. No updates The question as to how often a space 'should' be updated is difficult one. Here at BOB, we no longer set the limit as to what is the acceptable amount of updates. Some of the best spaces post monthly and this keeps the entries sharp and original. Some blogs write best with daily entries.
However, "dead bloggers" are no good to anybody.
Therefore, we consider a rough regularity of two months. If a blogger hasn't posted in two or so months, and this is 'irregular' to how they usually post, please let us know. Unacceptable behaviour BOB does NOT wish to control and regulate other spaces. We appreciate tempers are occasionally lost, and the best spaces are usually those which are opinionated. However, we do not accept extreme levels of racist, sexist or generally unacceptable remarks. If you find a space BOB links to which you believe to be unacceptably offensive, we urge you to report it so that we may act accordingly in removing the link.
HOW TO ACT? Simply post a comment (preferably on this blog so we can keep track) or send us an email telling us what space you believe should be re-examined and for what reason. WHAT WILL WE DO?
BOB will check the said space and determine whether or not it should be removed from the register. We thank you for your help. The Changes Welcome back. Cheers for rocking up
As previously warned, BOB has undergone some changes which we hope will provide you with a more comprehensive surfing experience. For those who are interested in reading all about them, they are as follows:
Removal of the "rules."
The problem with the "rules" was two-fold. First, some excellent spaces were not added (such as those which wrote great blogs but were updated monthly) This was ridiculous.
Second, some awful spaces were added simply because they passed the said rules.
Replacing the rules with guidelines has a larger effect then you may think. The rules ultimately were in place to ensure retarded spaces were kept out. The guidelines will have that same effect. However, we now have total discretion over who is linked and who is not. Blogs which update monthly, for example, are now considered.
The guidelines have been massively reduced in size, you may notice, meaning they are now much more "open to interpretation." This is because we DON'T want to link to a bunch of spaces all moulded the same way. The whole point of BOB is to promote originality.
New colour scheme
A new dawn, a new colour scheme. Green is much nicer anyway There is NO LONGER a requirement to link to BOB.
A necessity. We rely on the support of members in order to flourish: Without regular updates of new spaces, BOB would not grow, nort circulate, and again collapse on itself. However, forcing you to link us before gave the impression of desperation.
This is not the image we wanted. We would prefer to be linked to for the same reason we link to members: Because we believe it is a good space. It really is that simple.
Practice what you preach. We are now pushing the two-way scenario concept.
We haven't time to go surfing every weekend to find new spaces. We need your help. If you find a good space, regardless as to whether or not you know them, PLEASE nominate them. BOB is trying to find as many superb spaces as possible.
We also need the community to help us with the removal of spaces which drop in quality. If you visit a space that has either
a) Turned into a "I hate blogging leave comments so I am loved" space
b) Hasn't updated in months
c) Has become unacceptable in their behaviour (such as cruel and racist remarks)
...the let us know by commenting (or emailing us if you prefer discretion)
Changes in recruitment.
We now simply add a space if we like it, rather then ask for approval first. This is much more effective. It also opens the door for members to nominate other spaces more freely.
Every new addition will be given the chance to reject our linking if they wish. We will not link anybody who doesn't want to be linked
Again, management at BOB humbly welcomes you back to your HQ, and hope that we can rely on your continued support throughout the challenging days ahead.
Below is a little more detail as to why we have undergone these changes.
Why the changes?
BOB initially started with the aim first and foremost of collating a number of links on the one space which could bring the better spaces of the world together. "Updated spaces" was now effectively useless, and the method of following the recommended spaces of good spaces had also failed. Something needed to give. BOB tried to do fill that hole.
Unfortunately, we were ultimately doomed. The better spaces of the world are generally not interested in seeking publicity for their musings. They never found BOB. We never had a chance to stretch our horizons.
Only those who found the few spaces which linked to BOB got to savour in it's delights. Many of these spaces turned out to be, in general, boring rants about emo-kids.
There was nothing wrong with that, however, it was our goal to link a wide variety of spaces. We were doomed to fail, given people had to 'apply' first and get through certain rules. BOB collapsed.
However... we have now returned in a rousing attempt to ressurect BOB and the values it holds dear. Over the past months, we have been planning quietly for our return. New rules and guidelines were nutted out. Space surfing was done. Current members were re-examined and scrutiinsed. And now, at last we return.
This time, we are more prepared. We begin by having in excess of 40 different spaces linked to. Each has (or soon will) received a comment stating that they have been linked to. Some will ultimately leave. Some will recommend new spaces. We are hopeful that within two weeks, if the community combines we can have 50+ spaces linked to. This is enough to keep any random visitor occupied. From there it is our belief that over time, BOB will grow and flourish.
Please support us. Any new space you find could potentially open the door to another dozen spaces. Work needs to spread if BOB is to succeed. Only you, the masses, can do that.
